The Lunga Foundation aims to build a foundation for the future of the children of South Africa. We invest in these children so that they can unleash their talents and thereby, assist in the growth of South Africa. By investing in concrete projects, targeting structured upliftment, we can create the right conditions for children to grow up Safe, Healthy and Educated. Parallel to this, we also support local projects with their day-to-day running costs.
The meaning of the name Lunga - Be good and kind.
Lungalani is a 7 year old boy that stole our hearts and made us realise why it is so important that refuge projects such as The Farm exist.
We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.
The Lunga Foundation was set up by Linda-Jane van den Berg. Together with a team of inspirational people she has set her sights on making the lives of the children of South Africa a little better by providing them with a childhood that is safe, healthy and educated.
